Bellaire grad Omotola contributes to Liberty University victory
Houston native Tolu Omotola contributed nine points to Liberty University's 55-40 win over conference rival Gardner-Webb University on Saturday, Feb. 23, Liberty University's website reported.
The redshirt senior center also recorded five rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block for the Flames, who improved to 22-6 on the season and 14-2 in the Big South Conference.
Liberty University's next game is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at home against Coastal Carolina University.
A 2008 graduate of Bellaire High School, Omotola spent one year at Texas Christian University, where she scored a career-high eight points and grabbed one rebound against the University of Texas at Arlington.
The psychology major is the daughter of Abel and Lola Omotola.
