Holocaust Museum Houston seeks tour volunteers
The Holocaust Museum Houston is accepting applications through Monday, April 1 to fill 12 volunteer museum tour guides positions.
The museum's volunteer tour-guide class will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 14.
Interviews will be held in the spring and 12 volunteers will be chosen. Volunteers must be available for tours during weekdays and commit to the position for one year. The schedule typically includes one 2-hour tour per week per volunteer.
All classes will take place at the museum’s Morgan Family Center, 5401 Caroline St., in Houston’s Museum District.
"Volunteers will be trained in the history of the Holocaust and taught to give tours as volunteer guides during seven weeks of training," according to a museum press release.
