Bellaire grad McGilbra plays in Texas State loss
Bellaire High School graduate Taylor McGilbra played for Texas State University in a loss against conference rival UTSA on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Convocation Center in San Antonio.
The junior and the Bobcats are 9-15 on the season and 3-11 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Texas State's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 on the road against Houston Baptist.
McGilbra is a 2009 graduate of Bellaire High School. She was named the MVP at the District 20-5A Tournament and also earned All-Greater Houston honors from the Houston Chronicle during high school. She played a year at Boise State University where she played 30 games as a freshman before transferring. The Houston native is the daughter of Don and Monique McGilbra and is a sociology major.
