18 Bellaire runners complete Rhythm and Blues 5K
Eighteen Bellaire athletes completed the Rhythm and Blues 5K on Sunday, Feb. 10 in Houston.
The runners from Bellaire and their finishing times were Mike Lunceford, 56, 25:45; Earnest Wotring, 46, 26:56; Suraj Pandit, 9, 27:00; Rahul Pandit, 40, 27:00; Tania Campbell, 33, 27:40; Michael Stein, 58, 31:25; Allison Scott, 56, 31:43; Kjersti Aagaard, 44, 33:29; Julie Chen, 30, 34:11; Lori Etlinger, 37, 34:11; Theresa Drago, 63, 34:27; Erin Lunceford, 51, 34:53; Melissa Newton, 45, 35:04; Alison Newton, 13, 39:10; Sanjna Pandit, 7, 40:40; Lavannya Pandit, 40, 40:40; Gisselle Matta, 36, 47:26; and Angela Ethun, 28, 56:55.
Race organizers said 1,174 runners finished the 5K race, which began and ended at Sam Houston Park.
Stephen Ward was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 17:28, while Rebecca Eggeling was the winner in the women's category with a time of 20:06.
