Bellaire grad Davis plays in SFA loss
Bellaire High School graduate Annette Davis scored 10 points, but Stephen F. Austin State University lost 68-64 at home to conference rival Oral Roberts University on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Nacogdoches, the SFA website reported.
Davis also recorded seven rebounds and two assists for the Lumberjacks, who are 10-13 on the season and 5-7 in the Southland Conference.
SFA's next game is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 at Nicholls State.
Davis is a redshirt junior forward for Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a 2009 graduate of Bellaire High School, where she earned four letters in basketball playing for Michael Kramer. She scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds per game to go along with 4 assists and 6 blocks. She spent two years at Kansas, where she averaged one poit and one rebound per game before transferring to Stephen F. Austin. Davis is from Houston and is the daughter of Antonio Davis and Dietra Young.
