Bellaire grad Davis plays in Austin State loss
Bellaire High School graduate Annette Davis scored nine points in Stephen F. Austin State University's 61-55 loss to conference rival Lamar on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Montagne Center in Beaumont, the SFA website reported.
Davis also recorded 11 rebounds and a block for the Lumberjacks, who are 9-12 on the season and 4-6 in the Southland Conference.
Austin's next game is 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at home against Central Arkansas.
Davis is a redshirt junior forward for Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a 2009 graduate of Bellaire High School, where she earned four letters in basketball playing for Michael Kramer. She scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds per game to go along with four assists and six blocks. She spent two years at Kansas before transferring to Stephen F. Austin. Davis is from Houston and is the daughter of Antonio Davis and Dietra Young.
