Coats Rose attorneys represent Toll Road Authority in bond refinance
Dwight Jefferson and Timothy Green, of Coats Rose law firm, recently represented the bond underwriters in a transaction for the Harris County Toll Road Authority, the firm announced.
According to a press release, the attorneys helped the Toll Road Authority refinance $375 million in revenue bonds.
"The financing allows the authority to take advantage of the current low interest rates to reduce its long-term borrowing costs," said Green in the release.
Green specializes in creating special purpose districts throughout Texas, particularly in the Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth areas. In addition, Green has represented land developers, landowners and homebuilders.
Jefferson is a retired State District Judge with the 215th District Court of Harris County. He has more than 25 years of litigation experience, beginning as an in-house counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.. He is in his second tenure with Coats Rose, having earlier served as a litigation associate and director from 1988. He was appointed to the bench by then Governor George W. Bush in 1995.
