The following arrests were reported by local authorities for the period of Thursday, Jan. 17 to Saturday, Jan. 19:

A man was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff on a class A misdemeanor charge of assault of a family member, the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 23-year-old male lives in Houston.

A woman was arrested on a charge of fraud intent obtain controlled substance Jan. 18, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 43-year-old female was booked at the Harris County Jail on Jan. 19 and is facing a third degree felony charge. She resides in North Braeswood.

A Houston man is facing a class B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana (0 to 2 grams) after being arrested Jan. 19, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 20, resides in El Camino Del R. He was booked Jan. 19.

A Houston man is facing a class A misdemeanor charge of assault of a family member after being arrested Jan. 19, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 39, resides in Chimney Rock Rd. He was booked Jan. 19.

A Houston man was arrested and charged with failure to maintain financial responsibility by obtaining insurance and driving with expired registration Jan. 19, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 29, was booked at the Harris County Jail on Jan. 19 and is facing class C misdemeanor charges. He resides in Sandpiper.

A man was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff on a class B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana (0 to 2 grams), the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 22-year-old male lives in Houston.
