Bellaire grad Anyigbo helps in Western Kentucky victory
Bellaire High School graduate Kene Anyigbo played for Western Kentucky in its 72-49 win at home over conference rival Louisiana at Lafayette on Thursday, Jan. 17, at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky., the team's website reported.
The junior forward helped the Hilltoppers improve to 11-8 on the season and 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Western Kentucky's next game is 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at home against UALR.
Anyigbo played at Bellaire High School in 2006-2010. ESPN rated him 82nd best power forward prospect in the nation. He was named to the All-Region Second-Team.
