Picasso Black and White to open at Museum of Fine Arts
The exhibit Picasso Black and White will be on display from Sunday, Feb. 24 through Monday, May 27 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston.
According to a press release, "Picasso Black and White marks the first exhibition in Houston of Pablo Picasso's work in more than a decade. Picasso (1881-1973) was an original and inventive colorist, but this exhibition reveals the brilliance of his work in black, white and shades of gray, from monumental canvases to intimate drawings and small-scale sculptures. The show on exclusive loan to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, where it debuted in October, features some 100 works."
Tickets, which are in addition to the museum's regular entrance fee, are required. They start at $14.The Museum of Fine Arts is located at 1001 Bissonnet St., Houston.
