Bellaire grad Davis plays in Austin loss
Bellaire High School graduate Annette Davis scored eight points as Stephen F. Austin State lost 63-56 to conference rival Oral Roberts Saturday, Jan. 12, at Tulsa, Okla., the team's website reported.
Davis also recorded three rebounds for the Lumberjacks, who are 6-10 on the season and 1-4 in the Southland Conference.
Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 at home against Southeastern Louisiana.
Davis is a redshirt junior forward for Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a 2009 graduate of Bellaire High School, where she earned four letters in basketball playing for Michael Kramer. She scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds per game to go along with 4 assists and 6 blocks. She spent two years at Kansas, where she scored 1 point and grabbed 1 rebound per game before transferring to Stephen F. Austin. Davis is from Houston and is the daughter of Antonio Davis and Dietra Young.
