Bellaire grad Omotola leads Liberty to victory
Houston native Tolu Omotola led Liberty to a 75-49 home victory against conference rival UNC Asheville with 19 points on Saturday, Jan. 5, Liberty's website reported.
The senior center and forward also recorded eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block for the Flames, who improved to 22-5 on the season and 3-1 in the Big South Conference.
Liberty's next game is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 on the road against Charleston Southern.
A 2008 graduate of Bellaire High School, Omotola spent one year at TCU, where she scored a career-high eight points and grabbed one rebound against Texas-Arlington before transferring to Liberty University.
The psychology major is the daughter of Abel and Lola Omotola.
