Archana Deskus named chief information officer at Baker Hughes Inc.

Archana Deskus has been named chief information officer at Baker Hughes Inc. in Houston.

According to a press release issued Wednesday, Jan. 2, "Deskus will come to Baker Hughes from Ingersoll-Rand, where she was vice president and chief information officer."

She has a bachelor of science degree in business administration/management information systems from Boston University and her master of business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Deskus will begin her duties at Baker Hughes Monday, Jan. 14, replacing Clif Triplett. Triplett recently left the company after four years in the position.

Baker Hughes is the top supplier of oil field service, products, technology, and systems to the worldwide oil and natural gas industry.
