Bellaire grad Omotola scores 6 points in Liberty loss to Presbyterian
Tolu Omotola, a graduate of Bellaire High School, is a senior center for the Liberty University women's basketball team.
Bellaire High School graduate Tolu Omotola contributed six points in Liberty's 51-49 home loss to conference rival Presbyterian College on Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Vines Center in Lynchburg, Va., Liberty's website reported.
The Liberty University senior center also recorded eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and a block for the Flames, who are 10-5 on the season and 2-1 in the Big South Conference.
Liberty's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at home against UNC Asheville.
Omotola is a redshirt senior center and forward for Liberty University. A 2008 graduate of Bellaire High School, the Houston native spent one year at TCU, where she scored a career-high eight points and grabbed one rebound against Texas-Arlington, before transferring to Liberty University. The psychology major is the daughter of Abel and Lola Omotola.
