Bellaire City Library to host screening of 'The Women' on Jan. 16

The Bellaire City Library will offer a showing of the film "The Women" on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

According to an announcement from the library, "The Bellaire City Library will be showing 'The Women' for its January Classic Movie matinee. This 1939 comedy-drama stars Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford and Rosalind Russell. The amazing all-female supporting cast includes Paulette Goddard, Joan Fontaine, Marjorie Main and Hedda Hopper. Based on an original play by Clare Booth Luce, 'The Women' follows the adventures of a group of Manhattan socialites falling in and out of serial marriages and divorces.
