Student talent sought for Houston Community College event
Houston Community College is seeking student auditions for its upcoming Showtime at the Apollo at the Heinen event.
Talent sought includes dance, singing, comedy or dramatic scene or monologue. Winners will have the opportunity to meet Academy Award-nominated actor Terrace Howard.
According to a press release, "Auditions will be held at all six Houston Community College colleges on two Fridays, Jan. 11 and 18. Interested students may call 713-718-6250 or email HCC Central Public Relations at centralpr@hccs.edu for exact locations and times. All student performances must be three minutes or less."
Showtime at the Apollo at the Heinen is planned fro 7-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at the Houston Community College central campus, 3517 Austin St., Houston.
The Houston Community College system operates colleges in Houston, Missouri City and Stafford serving more than 70,000 students each semester. It is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the county and has more international students than any community college in the country. Houston Community College serves the areas of the Houston Independent School District, Katy, Spring Branch, Alief, North Forest Independent School Districts, Stafford Municipal District and the Fort Bend portion of Missouri City.
