Central Market Cooking School offering January classes
Central Market Cooking School in Houston is offering three classes in January.
A wine workshop class will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7. The cost is $10, and advance registration is required.
According to a press release from Central Market Cooking School, "Join our resident expert on a tour of the most popular varieties of grapes that provide us with some of the world's most sought after wines. The selections will be from regions throughout the world that are highly respected for producing trademark wines."
A keep your healthy resolutions: Indian style class will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8. The cost is $60, and advance registration is required.
According to the press release, "Healthy eating does not have to be boring. Shubhra Ramineni will show you how to keep your resolutions while bringing some excitement to your menus."
A dinner around the world class will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12. The cost is $65 and advance registration is required.
According to the press release, "Tonight we take a global view of food with some favorite dishes we've picked from around the world. You'll learn some new techniques while making this menu of Peruvian ceviche, Lebanese fattoush salad, jerk chicken, patatas bravas with pimenton sauce and Vietnamese iced coffee."
Central Market Cooking School offers people a chance to learn culinary skills from school staff, featured instructors and celebrity chefs. A variety of classes are offered, including hands-on, basic, children's and demonstration. All class participants receive a recipe packet and sample the food. Most evening classes also include wine pairings. Reservations are required for classes and are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
