Bellaire High School graduate Taylor McGilbra contributed two points in Texas State's 74-61 loss to Houston Saturday, Dec. 22, at Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston, the Texas State website reported.

Texas State's next game is 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at San Jose State University.

McGilbra, a 5-foot-8 junior for Texas State University, is a 2009 graduate of Bellaire High School. She was named the MVP at the District 20-5A Tournament and also earned All-Greater Houston honors from the Houston Chronicle during high school. She played a year at Boise State University where she played 30 games as a freshman before transferring. The Houston native is the daughter of Don and Monique McGilbra and is a sociology major.
