Bellaire athletes in action: Women's basketball

About Westby: Westby is a 2010 graduate of Clear Lake High School, where she was a two-year letterwinner on the basketball court for coach Angela Beck. During her two seasons (2008-09 and 2009-10) on the varsity team at Clear Lake, she helped the Falcons go 46-21 overall and 23-5 in District 24-5A play while advancing to the playoffs each season. As a senior Westby was named the district's offensive player of the year and a first-team all-district honoree after averaging 13.4 points per game. Westby averaged 14 points and 16 rebounds per contest as a junior to collect second-team all-district accolades. In addition to basketball, she played soccer at Clear Lake. Born June 8, 1992 the daughter of Tim and Christine Westby, she is majoring in business management at Tulane. Westby is from Houston.
