'Varian's War' to be shown Dec. 6

"Varian's War," sponsored by Holocaust Museum Houston, will be shown Thursday, Dec. 6 at Albert and Ethel Herzstein Theater in Morgan Family Center at the Holocaust Museum Houston.

The event will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

According to a press release from Holocaust Museum Houston, "'Varian's War' is based on Varian Fry's extraordinary true story. Fry was an American journalist who was convinced, years before America became directly involved in World War II, that Nazi Germany's abusive policies against Jews and other 'outsiders' would soon have grim consequences around the world."

Tickets, available at the door, are $5 for HMH members, $8 for non-members and $4 for seniors and students. Registration is required online at www.hmh.org.

The museum is at 5401 Caroline St., Houston.
