Bellaire grad McClellan scores 16 in University of Texas at Austin victory
Bellaire High School graduate Sheldon McClellan scored 16 points as the University of Texas at Austin recorded a 65-37 victory over Sam Houston State University on Nov. 27 at the Erwin Center in Austin.
The sophomore guard also recorded eight rebounds and two steals for the Longhorns, who improved to 4-2 on the season.
The University of Texas at Austin's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at home against The University of Texas at Arlington.
McClellan is a 2011 graduate of Bellaire High School, where he was ranked as the No. 47 prospect nationally in the ESPNU 100 and the No. 60 prospect by Rivals.com following his senior season. He had per-game averages in his senior year of 25 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. McClellan is from Houston and is the son of Angel Johnson.
