Asian Chamber of Commerce hosts business conference
The Asian Chamber of Commerce held the Asian Business Conference on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in an effort to encourage growth in the Houston area.
According to a press release, corporations and entrepreneurs had the opportunity to network and share ideas on economic development and planning.
The keynote speaker was Anne Chao of the Chao Center for Asian Studies at Rice University.
Fifteen chambers attended the event, including the Houston Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Korean-American Chamber of Commerce, Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.
"We are thrilled to be a part of this first-of-its-kind conference," said Linda Toyota, president of the Asian Chamber of Commerce, in the release. "The unity and cooperation of the various chambers will aid in new ideas and the growth of the Houston community."
