HEB donates $50,000 to Hurricane Sandy victims
To assist Hurricane Sandy victims, HEB recently donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross and launched an in-store donation campaign.
According to a HEB press release, customers will have the opportunity to make a $1, $3 or $5 donation at a HEB store from now through Monday, Dec. 3. All funds will benefit relief efforts on the East Coast by providing safe shelter, food supplies and clean drinking water.
"We are deeply saddened by this tragedy," said Winell Herron, group vice president of public affairs, diversity and environmental affairs for HEB, in the release. "HEB's donation campaign offers a convenient and efficient way for our customers to support the needs of the victims of this devastating hurricane."
