One Bellaire runner completes Marine Corps Marathon

One athlete from Bellaire completed the Marine Corps Marathon on Oct. 28 in Arlington, Va.

The runner, with finishing time, from Bellaire was Nicola Morgan, 48, 5:23:58.

According to Marine Corps Marathon organizers, a total of 23,520 runners finished the 26.2-mile race.

Augustus Maiyo, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was the men's overall winner with a time of 2:20:20, while Hirut Guanqul, of Ellicott City, Md., was the winner in the women's category with a time of 2:42:03.
