Bellaire High School PTO plans fun run, senior auction

The Bellaire High School Parent Teachers Organization will host the 15th annual Bellaire Fall Fever Fun Run at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.

According to the organization's website, the high school, located at 5100 Maple St., will be the starting and finish line for the race, which benefits the Pershing Middle School PTO, the Pin Oak Middle School PTO, the Condit Elementary School PTO, the Lovett Elementary School PTO, and the Bellaire High School PTO, FFA, junior varsity cheer team, swim team, and the classes of 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Prior to the main race, a one-mile race will be held 7:45 a.m. for children age 6-12. A free post-race party featuring food and beverages, live music, awards and prizes will be held at 8:40 a.m.

The cost to participate in the event is $20 for children under 12 and $25 for adults if registered before Thursday, Nov. 8. After Nov. 8, the cost will be $25 and $30, respectively. All participants must register by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15.

In conjunction with the fun run, the class of 2013 will hold a silent auction and bazaar from 8-10 a.m. in the MPR at the school. Items for sale will include a four-night stay at Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch in San Antonio, a one-hour massage, two tickets to an Astros game, a $25 gift card to Escalante's and four corporate VIP passes to Houston's Improv Comedy Club.
