Fatal traffic accident reported near 8400 block of Hillcroft

The Houston Police Department is investigating a recent incident involving a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the Houston area.

The incident was reported in the 8400 block of Hillcroft at 6:35 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

According to a police news release, the driver of a Nissan Altima lost control while traveling at a high rate of speed and struck a utility pole on the east sidewalk of Hillcroft.

The passenger in the Nissan, an 18-year-old female, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she died. The male driver, 19, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
