Police investigating fatal traffic accident on Bellaire Boulevard

The Houston Police Department is investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic accident that took place around 11:45 p.m. Sept. 11 at 12300 Bellaire Blvd.

The victim, Hui Nguyen, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police report.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sgt. S. Sorge and Senior Police Officer R. Bymaster reported that a witness saw Nguyen traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Bellaire Boulevard. The report says the driver swerved and crashed the white Lexus SC 400 into a telephone pole, and Nguyen was ejected from the vehicle.

No other individuals or vehicles were involved in the incident.
