Bellaire Girls Softball Association holding fall registration

Registration is now open for the Bellaire Girls Softball Association.    The BGSA offers 8U, 10U and 12U divisions and a Pixie division for children ages 5-6. The Pixie division uses a coach-pitch format, 8U uses machine pitch, 10U uses girl pitch and machine pitch and the 12U division will use regular fast-pitch play. The 12U division is available to players as old as 15.    The Pixie division costs $175 and all other divisions cost $200. Full refunds will be given if requested before Sunday, Sept. 2 and 50 percent refunds will be given if requested before Monday, Sept. 17. No refunds will be given after that.    Regular registration is open until Sunday, Sept. 2 with a $25 late charge for registrations submitted after that date.    Practices will begin on the week of Sept. 10 and will take place once a week for 90 minutes. Games will begin on Sunday, Sept. 23. All league games will be played on Sundays. The end-of-season tournament will begin on Sunday, Nov. 18.    The BGSA Fields are located at Bayland Park, 6400 Bissonnet; Mulberry Park, 700 Mulberry; and Condit Elementary, 300 S.
