During his life, Covey sold more than 20 million copies of "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," which was named one of the 25 most influential business management books by "Time" magazine. He was also named one of the 25 most influential Americans by "Time."

"Dr. Covey's passing has deeply affected our clients and community," said Addie Ward, manager of the Shepherd Square Franklin Covey Products store, in the press release. "Since his passing, we've received many calls from clients and associates wanting to know what they can do to convey Dr. Covey's legacy in their lives to his family."

In order to recognize Covey's accomplishments and pay tribute to his life, Franklin Covey is collecting letters, stories and anecdotes about him and his influence on the lives of people in the community. Submissions will be sent to the Covey family and will be accepted through Wednesday, Aug. 29.
