Kelsey-Seybold to open new care center in Meyerland Plaza
The site of the Multi-Specialty Care Center in Meyerland Plaza will be opened by the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
The Kelsey-Seybold Clinic has signed a lease with Meyerland Plaza owner Ronus Inc. for a new medical facility in the plaza.
The new Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Meyerland Plaza will occupy the spaces that formerly housed Borders books and Planet Music. This will mark the 21 st facility in the greater Houston area.
The new medical center will offer primary and specialty care, including internal and family medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, orthopedics and optometry. An onsite Kelsey Pharmacy will be located on near the main entrance, and patients will have access to virtual skylights, WiFi and children's play area. Future plans include digital mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry.
"The Meyerland/Bellaire area is a short drive from our Main Campus location and is convenient to our patients and nearby communities," said Dr. Spencer Berthelsen, chairman of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, in a press release. "We have felt for a long time that the Meyerland/Bellaire area would be a great neighborhood to expand into, growing our ability to maintain the high level of service we provide in central Houston. The Meyerland addition also allows for the expansion of certain specialty departments at Main Campus like the Ambulatory Surgery Center and the new Radiation Therapy Cancer Center."
Construction began in June and is expected to open early next year. The medical facility is at 570 Meyerland Plaza, Houston. For more information, visit kelsey-seybold.com.
