Peveto Gallery to host 'Define the Future' art show Aug. 25

The Peveto Gallery will host the Newspring Alumni Art Show titled "Define the Future" from 6-9 p.m. Aug. 5 at the gallery, located at 2627 Colquitt St. in Houston.

The new art show was the idea of Newspring and Peveto curator Brent Comiskey to showcase the best works of art by young new artists cultivated by Newspring Art Studio. All alumni of the art studio are invited to display their work at this event.

Newspring is currently seeking donations for the newly opened Student Art Studio, where student artists can come after school and during the summer. In addition to monetary donations, Newspring always accepts new or used art supplies.

According to a press release, the mission of Newspring Visual Arts is to nurture middle and high school art students in Spring Branch and to promote and sell their artwork at an auction held each spring.

The Newspring Art Studio is located at 1900 Blalock, Suites O and P in Houston.
