Closure of Oakdale rescheduled for July 21
The Bellaire Office of Public Works has announced that the closure of the 4600 block of Oakdale at I-610 Feeder Road has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 21 due to weather conditions.
The stretch will be closed at 7 a.m. and reopened at 6 p.m., according to a press release.
The contractor will be setting up equipment with a crane at 5909 West Loop S., which is the only place the crane could access the top of a building. The crane is large and will take up the entire roadway.
Barricades will be set up, and police officers will remain on the jobsite until the barricades are removed and the job completed. The officers will also assist any emergency vehicles and personnel that may need to enter and exit the area.
The only way to enter and exit the 4600 block of Oakdale is Avenue B.
