Bellaire participant completes Kiwanis Kids Triathlon

Connor Larson, 11, of Bellaire, completed the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon in 19:29.

The event was held Saturday, June 30, in Pearland. A total of 120 participants completed the race. The race was for boys and girls born from 2003 to 2005. For children born from 2000 to 2002, the course comprised a 100-meter swim, two-mile bike ride and half-mile run.

Kaytlynn Welsch of Alvin was the overall winner for the children born from 2000 to 2002, with a time of 13:23, while Olivia Howard of Houston was the overall winner for the participants born from 2003 to 2005, with a time of 8:57.
