Bellaire Parks and Recreation Department to host summer camps

The Bellaire Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of summer camps.

Building Brains, an educational camp for children ages 3 to 5 that uses building to develop fine motor skills, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon July 30 through Aug. 3 at the West University Place Scout House, located at 6108 Edloe St., in Houston. The cost for the camp is $215 for residents and $235 for nonresidents. Campers should bring a snack and drink to camp with them each day.

A Building Brains camp for children ages 6 to 12 will take place from 1-4 p.m. July 30 through Aug. 3 at the Scout House. The cost is $215 for residents and $235 for nonresidents, with an all-day option that costs $375 for residents and $395 for nonresidents. Campers should bring a snack and drink to camp with them each day.

LEGO Tech Luau camp, for children ages 3 to 7, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon July 23 to July 26 at the West University PARD Colonial Multi-Purpose Room, located at 4130 Byron St., in Houston.

Land of the Lost Bots, a camp for children ages 7 to 12 that uses LEGO robotics to teach basic computer programming as well as problem-solving skills, will take place July 30 through Aug. 2 at the West University PARD Colonial Multi-Purpose Room.
