UT Health seeking volunteers for study of childhood stress
The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston's Texas Medical Center is seeking healthy children ages 8-15 to participate in a study about stress.
Memory, attention and adjustment will be tested three times in one year. The study will measure chemicals in spit that are associated with stress.
Testing scores from healthy children will be compared to others who have had serious injuries to determine how the body responds to injury. MRI scans of the brain are included in the research.
Financial compensation and a brief written report of test scores will be provided at each visit.
