Houston Zoo to host Bowling for Rhinos event at Palace Lanes
Bowling and rhinos will go hand in hand, not literally, at the 21st annual Bowling For Rhinos event scheduled for 6-10 p.m. Friday, June 22 at Palace Bowling Lanes, located at 4191 Bellaire Blvd.
The Greater Houston Zoo Chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers is sponsoring the event, which will include unlimited bowling for two hours (6-8 p.m. or 8-10 p.m.), a BFR souvenir koozie, free shoe and ball rental and a silent auction with paintings by zoo animals.
Online preregistration tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children ages 5-12. Nonbowling online preregistration tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Those unable to attend BFR 2012 may still support rhino conservation by sending donations to:
The Houston Zoo, Attn: Bowling For Rhinos, 1513 Cambridge, Houston, TX 77030. Make checks payable to GHCAAZK (Greater Houston Chapter of American Association of Zoo Keepers), and please note "BFR 2012."
