Richmond, Eastside intersection under construction
Beginning in the morning of Saturday, June 16, drainage construction will block traffic at the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Eastside Street.
According to a press release, excavation at the intersection to put in a junction box linking Eastside's lateral line to Richmond's soon-to-be-updated storm sewer will prompt traffic control similar to what is now in place near Kirby Drive.
On Richmond, two eastbound and two westbound lanes will remain open at the intersection with Eastside. The westbound lanes will be divided to bypass the construction site on either side, and the eastbound lanes will run parallel on Richmond's southernmost side, the release noted.
During the construction, drivers traveling on Richmond will be unable to make a left turn onto Eastside, and those traveling north on Eastside will be unable to cross Richmond. Southbound Eastside traffic will only be able to turn right on Richmond.
