Clear Lake man accuses Bellaire, Pearland residents of defamation
A Clear Lake man is suing over claims residents of Bellaire and Pearland attempted to sully his good name by spreading lies about him.
Clear Lake resident Ronald Lozoff filed a lawsuit on Friday, June 8 in the Harris County District Court against Bellaire residents Nada Faqih and Fan Zhang and Pearland residents Cecilia Jones and Christine Vamvakas, citing defamation.
The suit alleges that prior to Dec. 15, 2011, the defendants embarked on a smear campaign to ruin Lozoff's good name. According to the brief, they spread false rumors that a corrupt Lozoff attempted to deceive Braeswood condominium owners to steal or misappropriate money from the condo association.
Lozoff is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney David Anderson.
