Stone Acorn Builders donates more than $30,000 to charities

A total of $30,183 was raised at the Southern Living Showcase held in Bellaire from admissions to the home built by Stone Acorn Builders.
The home is 4,777 square feet with a library and reading nooks throughout the house in honor of the charities and their literacy efforts. It is located at 5307 Aspen.
The Southern Living Showcase brought more than 3,500 attendees to visit the house in May.
The Stone Acorn Builders consists of members of the Southern Living Custom Builder Program, including Peggy Shallock, secretary of the Friends of the Bellaire Library; Sarah Lavine-Kass, principal of Stone Acorn; Sheri Suarez Foreman, president and CEO of Houston Center for Literacy; and Benjamin Lavine, principal of Stone Acorn Builders.
