Police investigating fatal parking garage crash
Houston police officers are investigating a motorcycle crash at 2929 Allen Parkway that killed a 27-year-old Houston man on Friday, June 8, according to a press release.
The crash happened at about 5:50 p.m. The man and a friend were on the fifth floor of a parking garage at the aforementioned address. The friend was teaching the man how to operate a motorcycle. The friend walked alongside the man and told him to apply the brakes. The friend said the man accidentally hit the accelerator, which shot the motorcycle forward and caused the vehicle to strike a garage wall, which sent the man over the wall.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the crash site. The man's identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The investigation into the crash continues.
