Houston bowls for HOPE
Houston-area bowlers are getting together to play 10-pin and help cats and dogs in need of loving families.
The HOPE Bowlathon is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at Palace Lanes in Houston. A $20 fee gets participants three games of bowling and the satisfaction of helping homeless animals find new homes.
The event is a fundraiser by Houston Invitational Tournament bowlers to benefit the Homeless and Orphaned Pets Endeavor, a group working to increase adoptions of unwanted pets in the Houston area. The nonprofit accepts tax-deductible donations and is always welcoming new volunteers.
Palace Lanes is located at 4191 Bellaire Blvd., in Houston.
