Engineer buys 4BD home in West University Place
Ekaterina Pronina and Alexei Tcherniak acquired a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 4228 Amherst St. in West University Place from Carmen Canavati Fitzpatrick and James Maurice Fitzpatrick on March 29.
The 3,205-square-foot house, built in 1988, is in the Colonial Terrace subdivision.
Tcherniak is a reservoir engineer at Shell.
He earned his B.S. in chemical engineering from Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and his Ph.D in physical chemistry from Rice University.
Pronina is a graduate student in the chemistry department at Rice University. Previously, she was a web developer at Virtually Canadian Inc.
She earned her B.S. in software programming engineering from the PrimeTech Insitute in Toronto, Canada and her M.S. from Moscow State University.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 131 home sales in West University Place during the past 12 months.
