Trees for Houston to hold tree sale
More than 500 native trees will be for sale during the three-day Trees for Houston sale, taking place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 7, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 8 and 9 a.m. to noon June 9.
The sale will take place at the organization's office, 10401 Stella Link Road, Houston.
Species available to the public will include bald cypress, cedar elm, red maple, Shumard's oak and water oak.
Volunteers will help attendees select trees as well as information on planting and care. Prices will be $5 for a 3-foot tree. Funds raised will go directly to Trees For Houston's mission and programs. Any trees not sold will benefit the greater Houston region at potential planting sites such as streets, trails, schools and freeways.
