Bellaire alum can't save Oklahoma State U in diamond loss
Kat Espinosa, a 2009 graduate of Bellaire High School, gave up two runs in 2.2 innings and watched as Oklahoma State University fell 7-1 to Oklahoma in women's college softball action Wednesday.
In high school, the relief pitcher was selected to the state of Texas All-Star team, All-Greater Houston First-Team and also the All-District First-Team. She was named All-Greater Houston Pitcher of the Year and District MVP her senior year and was named First-Team All-District three times.
In 2008, she was named All-Greater Houston First-Team. She also played summer ball for Texas Eclipse Gold for coach Ken Glass.
