Bellaire medical group sues over $80,000 phone system
A Bellaire medical group is suing after, it says, its $80,000 telephone system went missing.
Spine Associates of Houston, with an office in Bellaire, filed a lawsuit on Thursday, April 12 in the Harris County District Court against Phone Communications, citing breach of contract.
Spine Associates says in October 2011, it hired Phone Communications to replace its older telephone system, valued at $80,000. In March 2012, Spine Associates decided to switch back to its older telephone system but could not find it in storage.
The plaintiff claims Phone Communications may have sold the phone system, without permission, for scrap.
Spine Associates is seeking attorney's fees, damages and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Carolyn Douglas.
