24 Hour Fitness sued over alleged injuries in Bellaire, Pearland

24 Hour Fitness is being sued over claims it failed to offer customers a safe workout environment at its Bellaire and Pearland locations.

Samuel Pratt and Byron Green filed a lawsuit on Thursday, Feb. 16 in the Harris County District Court against 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide, with locations in Bellaire and Pearland, citing breach of contract and negligence.

Pratt and Green say they both suffered serious injuries while working out at 24 Hour Fitness, located in Bellaire and Pearland.

The suit alleges that on April 21, 2011, a malfunctioning treadmill injured Pratt, and a failed cable on a weight machine injured Green.

The two are seeking damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorneys Kathryn Williams and Eric Rhodes.
