Center for Jewish Living and Learning to hold Scholar Series
The Center for Jewish Living and Learning Scholar Series will continue March 29 with the lecture "Roosevelt and the Jews" at 7:30 p.m.
The lecture series is presented by professor Stephen Berk, the Henry and Sally Schaffer Professor of Holocaust and Jewish studies at Union College, in Schenectady, N.Y. "Roosevelt and the Jews" will explore the motivations behind President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's policies during World War II and how his actions affected the Jewish community.
The next lecture will be "Three Who Made Israel: Weizmann, Ben Gurion and Begin" on April 26, followed by "Steven Spielberg in History" on May 24.

All lectures will be held at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, located at 5601 S. Braeswood, in Houston.
