Bellaire gas slightly pricier than rest of Houston area this week
Bellaire residents: if you want to get gas close to home this week, be prepared to pay a little bit more.
The average price of regular unleaded gasoline around the city has stayed stable; last week it was $3.445, and it is now $3.448. But the price for the Greater Houston area has fallen slightly, meaning it may be a good idea to look for gas elsewhere.
Bellaire's average price is based on reported rates at four local stations by users of price-tracking website gasbuddy.com. The site reports averages of $3.423 for the Houston area, $3.406 for Texas and $3.536 for the nation as a whole.
The cheapest station reported in the city was the Texaco located at 6512 S. Rice Blvd., where regular gas costs $3.44 per gallon. All other stations in the city were charging $3.45 per gallon.
