Girls basketball: Bellaire wraps up vs. Westside

There's no suspense involved in the District 20-5A girls basketball race.

As expected, Bellaire and Westside will clash for the title on Friday, Feb. 11, in the final regular season game at Butler Sports Complex. The Cardinals and Wolves have been the league's top two programs the past few years.

Bellaire is the defending champion, but the teams have split the first two meetings. Westside surprised the Cardinals 40-38 in the championship game at the Houston ISD Tournament. However, Bellaire gain revenge during the first round of district play, picking up a 47-40 victory last month.
