Bellaire HS grad Wells shows skills for Citadel in loss
Bellaire HS graduate Cameron Wells had a fantastic game for the Citadel on Monday, but UNC Greensboro emerged with an 86-74 victory at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Wells scored 14 points, dished out seven assists, grabbed five rebounds and tallied thee steals in the loss.
Wells ranks first on the team in scoring at 17 points per game and assists at 4.2 assists per game. He is second on the team in rebounding at 5.1 boards per game.
At Bellaire High School, Wells was honored as an All-District Selection and All-Star MVP. As a senior, Wells averaged 16.5 points and 7.0 assists per game.
Wells, the son of Elaine and Ronald Wells, was born Sept. 23, 1988. His father played basketball at Texas Southern and brother played basketball for Houston Baptist University.
